procter & Gamble
brand expression
During the fall of 2020, I worked as a graphic design co-op for Procter & Gamble on their oral care design team. I returned in the summer of 2021 to P&G where I joined the baby care design team. Though much of the work I completed as an intern must remain a secret, I am able to share some parts of the job that required me to research and analyze trends. Through my two semesters, I also was able to further develop my communication skills while working remotely for the majority of the time, engaging in daily video calls and meetings.
oral care – fall 2020
Analysis of current and future trends in children’s products and the next generation of parents. This included findings such as straying away from gender stereotyped colors and play things, and supporting brands that had similar to morals to that of the parent. The concept of surprise toys was the largest trend of the fall of 2020. My concept of turning the Oral-B Disney Magic Timer app into a surprise format with a “collect them all” aspect was adapted into market earlier this year and is pictured below.
Baby care – Summer 2021
One of the more research based projects I completed while working with Pampers was a full baby care packaging audit. I looked into competing brands’ communication strategies at a variety of stores to see what is creating market leaders. While I cannot include my entire presentation here, I have carried this knowledge and experience with me and would love to talk more about it in person.
